Disabled Veteran
Doctor’s told Arthur Boorman he’d never walk again. After Boorman came from home injured from the Gulf War, he was no longer able to exercise. He weighed 297 pounds and lost all hope. The 47-year-old veteran discovered a non-impact yoga workout and with perseverance and dedication, Boorman lost 140 pounds in 10 months.
Previously, no studios wanted to work with him because he was unable to stand without assistance. He was dependent on leg braces and sought yoga to alleviate the pain in his back.
After help from Diamond Dallas Page, a yoga instructor, Boorman also became a yoga teacher. He changed his lifestyle and altered his diet, as well as his outlook on life. His story inspires his students and serves as a motivator that anything is possible.
