The Girl At The Gas Station
Lucy Ferriss had just graduated from college and received a 1968 Ford Capri as a present. After a leaving her uncle’s home with less than an eighth of a tank of gas and no money to fill it, she stopped at a gas station.
Lucy begged the attendant at the station, saying she could write him a check or she could sleep in her car and walk to town to get money the next day. A man pulled up next to her and said, “Fill her tank first.”
“You’ll do the same one day, for someone else.”
There is always hope. Never underestimate the kindness of strangers.
