We Are All Connected
Everything we do has a cause and effect, an action and a reaction. We are all connected; every single being on Earth has something that ties them to one another. Though we may feel that we are distant from people who live across the globe, there is ultimately a link that bonds us together.
Not only are we connected by energetic fibers, it can be as simple as the fact that we are all human and live on the same planet. Regardless of where we are from or what we believe in, we are all a part of Mother Earth and share in her water, air and sustenance. It is vital that just as the Earth provides for us, that we contribute to healing and taking care of our home.
Recycling and reusing to keep Earth healthy and safe is important not only to the environment, but to the wellbeing of mankind. If the planet is suffering, it is likely that we will too.
Don’t just be considerate of other people, but of where you live. To keep our home clean, you can recycle paper, plastic, and aluminum cans, and also remember to conserve energy, particularly during the winter and summer seasons. Walking or commuting instead of driving everywhere can help to avoid emitting fumes that can be toxic for the environment. Respect the earth just as you would respect one another.
We need to see ourselves as part of the world rather than just living in it.We all get to live here, yet in some parts of our home, our brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, cannot get along. Non-stop fighting and war don’t just ravage the Earth; they tear at mankind’s success and prosperity. There is no reason why we are unable to share the beauty and bounty the planet has to offer.
How do we stop this madness? How can we reach the point to where peace on is attainable?
Figure out how to start small in order to achieve big results. Set an example. In our own houses, learn the art of conflict resolution. Children who witness such behavior from adults are likely to understand and live by this notion: there is a solution for every problem that doesn’t warrant violence; it is unnecessary to resort to ways of hatred, anger and war.
It is as simple as the Golden Rule:
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
With all the separate beliefs and religion in the world, the one thing they all have in common is their own version of the Golden Rule. Living by this straightforward concept can make monumental changes to how people live across the globe.
